    Amron Stevens

    Amron Stevens

    Head of Schools

    Amron Stevens holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. With 16 years of experience in private Christian education, her work has spanned from preschool through administration. Mrs. Stevens currently serves as the Head of Schools of Providence Christian Academy.

    Micah Hocson

    Micah Hocson

    Assistant Administrator

    Micah Hocson graduated from West Coast Baptist College with a major in Theology, concentrating on Religious Education and Church Ministries. Post-graduation, Mr. Hocson served as principal for two different schools in California and New Mexico, where he contributed to the growth of school attendance and the development of efficient processes and procedures.

    Ava Petro

    Ava Petro

    Teacher, Pre-Kindergarten

    Ava Petro earned her Associate's Degree and completed several education courses. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Ava has always had a passion for working with children, and is excited to be our Pre-K teacher this year. She is passionate about helping her students learn, grow, and develop a love for learning in a fun and supportive classroom environment.

    Melissa Phillips

    Melissa Phillips

    Teacher, Kindergarten–1st Grade

    Melissa Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Development from Texas A&M University, where she developed a strong foundation in child growth, learning theory, and developmentally appropriate practices. She has taught in the public schools and in the private sector for over ten years. She is deeply committed to Christian education, believing it is a learning environment to not only teach academic skills but also to disciple and guide children in their faith.

    Yvonne Miller

    Yvonne Miller

    Teacher, 2nd–3rd Grade

    Yvonne Miller, with 17 years of impactful teaching experience, has been a vital force in the Copperas Cove Independent School District. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Certified from early childhood through sixth grade, Yvonne also possesses ESL and Special Education certifications.

    Amy Bishop

    Amy Bishop

    Administrative Assistant

    Teacher, Middle School

    Amy Bishop spent close to a decade teaching middle school language arts and speech classes in Indiana public schools. Afterwards, she chose to direct her efforts toward homeschooling her children over the last eleven years. During that time, she used her interests and training to lead novel studies at her local homeschool co-op.

    Lisa Kepner

    Lisa Kepner

    Interventionist

    Lisa Kepner earned a Bachelor's degree in Child Study and Language Development with a focus on Elementary Education, and she holds endorsements in Early Childhood and Special Education. Before joining PCA, she spent three years teaching in a public school setting. Afterward, Lisa became a full-time mom and felt called to homeschool her sons when they were six and eight years old. During those years, she remained deeply involved in education—tutoring, leading homeschool co-op classes, and teaching middle school science at One Day Academy.

    Kristen Hutcheson

    Kristen Hutcheson

    Teacher, Middle School

    Physical Education

    Kristen Hutcheson holds a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in Psychology and Sociology. She taught high school subjects in a local charter school before focusing on homeschooling her daughter. During that time, she also tutored middle school and high school math.
